  • How do I register with MaroonBook?
  • Click on "REGISTER" in the navigation tabs above, or just click here.
  • Why should I purchase a MaroonBook listing?
  • Aggies prefer to do business with other Aggies. Each month TexAgs.com reaches enough Aggies to fill Kyle Field, Reed Arena, and Olsen Field combined. MaroonBook provides you access to this captive audience for as little as $25 annually.
  • What comes with my MaroonBook listing?
  • Basic Listing ($25/year):
    • One business listing and profile page, placed in one geographical region of your choice and up to three industry categories
    Premium Listing ($300/year):
    • One business listing and profile page, placed in one geographical region of your choice and up to three industry categories
    • Rotating placement in the MaroonBook Spotlight on TexAgs.com.
    • Your business is placed at or near the top of the list of business returned when users view your industry categories.
    • Promotion of your business listing right here on MaroonBook.com in the Featured Listings area.
    • TexAgs Signature: A 25-word message promoting your business and linking to your MaroonBook listing. This message appears as a signature line on each of you TexAgs' posts.
  • What is the "Aggie Owned and Operated" Program?
  • "Aggie Owned and Operated" is an official program of Texas A&M University offered exclusively through MaroonBook.com - that empowers you to publicly affiliate your business with the core values of Texas A&M. Not only will the "Aggie Owned and Operated" designation encourage other Aggies to support your business, but you'll leave no doubt in the minds of all potential customers that you embody the integrity and reliability that distinguish Texas A&M across the state and around the world.

    The program allows you to create an automatic association between your business and the values and reputation of Texas A&M in the minds of your customers. At the same time, you visibly showcase your connection with Texas A&M University and empower other Aggies to frequent your business.

    The "Aggie Owned and Operated" package renews annually and costs $150 as an optional add-on to a Basic or Premium business listing.

    Important: Participants in the "Aggie Owned and Operated" program are not to hold themselves out to the public as "official sponsors" or "official partners" of Texas A&M University. Participants are not permitted to use or reproduce in any medium, including advertisements and merchandise, any logos, trademarks, word marks or other marks associated with Texas A&M University, including the logo of the "Aggie Owned and Operated" program, without first executing an official license agreement with Texas A&M University.

  • What is included in the "Aggie Owned and Operated" package?
  • Exclusive rights to publicly affiliate your business with Texas A&M and the Aggie family through "Aggie Owned and Operated" branding.

    An "Aggie Owned and Operated" marketing bundle that enables you to identify your business as "Aggie Owned and Operated" on-site and on your website. Marketing Bundle includes:
    • o A 2'x4' banner to hang from the ceiling or on a wall
    • o A table tent, perfect for cash registers or desks
    • o A window cling to put on the door or window of your business
    • o Access to the Aggie Owned and Operated logo for placement on your website

  • Can my listing show up in more than one region?
  • You have the option of picking only one region per MaroonBook listing. Each additional listing will be treated as a separate listing all together.
  • Can I pay monthly for my listing?
  • Payment is due in full at the time of listing purchase.
  • What is the MaroonBook Spotlight?
  • The Spotlight is an ad location designated exclusively for MaroonBook listings. The ad will appear on the TexAgs.com homepage, and 37 discussion forums. Listings will appear in the Spotlight based on geographic location. Meaning that a user in Dallas will see businesses listed in MaroonBook from the Dallas area. Each MaroonBook listing will rotate through the Spotlight randomly; Premium listings will appear three times more often than Basic level listings.
  • Do I have to be an Aggie to purchase a MaroonBook listing?
  • While MaroonBook targets Aggies, we realize that others (non-Aggies) will want to reach the Aggie community as well. If someone who didn't attend Texas A&M recognizes the value of doing business with Aggies, they are welcome to participate. Aggie listings will be designated by maroon text and a class year.
  • What is TexAgs.com?
  • We are one of the largest collegiate fan sites in the nation and are dedicated solely to Texas A&M University. TexAgs brings thousands of Aggies together every day to obtain and discuss A&M news, information, and insight. Our 37 discussion forums, containing over 15 million comments, provide a place for Aggies to gather and discuss a wide variety of topics.
  • I do not have a TexAgs account, can I still participate?
  • Registering with MaroonBook means that you are also registering a user account with TexAgs.com. If you already have an account with TexAgs you can use it for your MaroonBook listing, or you can create a new account.
  • Will my MaroonBook listing be seen in my TexAgs signature?
  • You can choose to have your MaroonBook listing show up as your signature on TexAgs.com for $100. This choice is completely optional and not the default for any listing.
